Fun Fact Face Off
Ask
most swimming fans what events Leisel Jones and Tara Kirk swim,
and the answer would be an easy one – breaststroke. Some of
you might even know their times in the 100m breaststroke from the
2004 Olympics. But what if we asked you their favorite place to
nap? Or their worst household chores? Answering those questions
is a little harder…
Since every athlete has interests outside of swimming,
we want to give you the chance to get to know some of Team USA and
Australia’s top stars – on a more personal level. Each
Thursday from now until the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool, we
will feature an intriguing match-up between an American and an Aussie.
But instead of looking at the swimming stats, this will be a Face
Off of their interests.
First up: Tara Kirk and Leisel Jones.
